Halloween is Crawling to TownPosted by: Defence Bakery
Well, we all have time for celebration and superstition. Halloween is a nigh when superstition takes over and turns into celebration. It all started so long ago that hardly anyone today knows exactly why do we dress up on Halloween and go for treat hunt. Stories are many. One says it originates form ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. Irish immigrants have taken the celebration with them to America in XIX century where it has become one of the most favourite festival, especially for kids. Kids found their way to appease any ghosts roaming on earth on Eve of All Saints Day - Halloween Nigh. They dress up in scary costumes and walk around the neighbourhood asking for treat; otherwise they will do all sorts of tricks. Treat or Trick is a custom which allow kids to ask for cookies, cakepops, candies, cakes, chocolates or perform mischief otherwise. We have done preparation not to be tricked but give treat.
Don’t let them trick you. Treat them.
